Regionality and sustainability are very important to us, which is why Eggerhof cuisine relies on freshly prepared meals made from high-quality domestic products that are stamped with a proof of origin. Our restaurant was awarded the quality seal, AMA GENUSS REGION, for this initiative!


The AMA GENUSS REGOIN (AMA stands for AgrarMarkt Austria) is based on the idea of promoting sustainability and a return to regional products. Businesses with this seal inform their guests about the origin of their processed food and they place a stronger emphasis on local specialties. Milk and milk products: from Austria with the AMA quality seal – obtained via AGM Maishofen
Eggs: from Austrian cage-free framing – obtained via AGM Maishofen
Lungauer Eachtling (potatoes from the Lungau): Michael Rauter, St. Michael
Celery, carrots, cabbage: from domestic farming –obtained via AGM Maishofen
Salmon (seasonal): trout farm Grundner, Leogang
Styrian horse radish PGI: from Styria – obtained via AGM Maishofen

Several of our products are homemade with all the beef sourced from our own farm. We also produce our own Eggerhof sausages, bacon, ham, regular sausages and Fleischkäse (a special kind of sausage meat loaf) exclusively for our hotel and guests. Many herbs come directly from the farm garden.
