The 5 best reasons for sun skiing
Have you already winterised your skis and are in full spring mode? I'll tell you why it pays to wake up your ski gear from its slumber. For me, spring is definitely the coolest time of year to hit the slopes in the Skicircus once again. There are definitely 1000 good reasons to enjoy the slopes in spring - my top 5 summarised for you.

1. Pure sunshine
Sometimes it really depends on the length. That may not be true for many things, but when it comes to skiing days, there's no denying it. And the height of winter definitely can't keep up with spring. The sun shines brightly on the first ascent in the gondola early in the morning and accompanies us on every turn until the last descent in the late afternoon. And even during après-ski, you can still catch the odd ray of sunshine.

2. Glistening snow and mild temperatures
At night, the temperatures drop far enough for the snow to freeze. The first descents are therefore enjoyed on the usual perfectly groomed pistes. But when the pistes hardened by the night frost turn into the finest carpets of firn at midday, winter sports enthusiasts' hearts beat a few beats faster. Once you've made your tracks through butter-soft firn, you'll never forget this relaxed feeling again
When you're out on the slopes in spring, you can confidently do without your thick Norwegian jumper and heated ski boots. Mild spring temperatures are loyal companions when skiing in the sun.

3. Early start of the lifts & free ride
Waiting times at the lifts are not only short, but practically non-existent. The major holiday periods are over and now only those winter sports enthusiasts who know and love the special benefits of skiing in the sun can be found on the slopes. Is there anything better than seeing a vast empty piste in front of you and being able to make long turns across the entire width of the piste? That's when your skis or snowboard really start to glow.
Tip: Some lifts in the Skicircus start as early as 08:00 a.m.

4. Breathtaking panorama
Lightning blue skies, sunshine and clear spring air are not only the ingredients for a perfect day's skiing, but also for a breathtaking panorama. The far-reaching view of the surrounding snow-covered mountains glistening in the sunlight is simply fabulous. It's the perfect place to take a break, linger for a while and take some great souvenir photos.
