The right tour for everyone

Which winter hike or snowshoe hike would you like to go on today? On and around the peak of emotions there are many attractive tours for every taste. Whether you're a beginner or an experienced hiker - put on your snowshoes and off you go!

An excursion to the head of the valley takes beginners from the horse-drawn sleigh site in "Lengau" over stream crossings and short, steep slopes into the snow-covered natural paradise. Running in the immediate vicinity of the cross-country ski trail, you can familiarise yourself with the appropriate snowshoe technique on this wild and romantic route to the Lindlingalm.

Endurance snowshoe hikers start not far from the centre of Saalbach on a first flat ascent along the Spielberghaus toboggan run. Once you have found the right pace, the route alternates between forest sections and open Alpine pastures. After a total ascent of around two hours, the marvellous view of the Schattberg, Bernkogel and Westgipfel will reward you for all your efforts.

Snowshoeing in Saalbach Hinterglemm for advanced hikers - this half-day tour is a real challenge. The Westgipfelbahn cable car takes you towards the hut, before alternating ascents and flat sections put your fitness to the test. Once you reach the summit (2,123 m), the view extends as far as the Watzmann, Großvenediger and Großglockner. Depending on your stamina, part of the descent can be completed by cable car.
