Insight into the Eggerhof kitchen The blueberries
Whether it's blueberries, bilberries, blackberries or, here in Saalbach, "Moosberen" - this delicious little blue berry is known by many names.
In the summer months from July to September, this extremely healthy berry grows on green dwarf shrubs, often right next to hiking trails in the forest or on alpine pastures. In autumn, the cranberry bush turns reddish.
The blueberry cams
Ingredients:
250 g flour
approx. 350 ml hot water
0.5 kg blueberries
a little oil or butter for frying
Preparation::
1. mix the flour with the fresh blueberries.
2. gradually and quickly mix with the hot water to form a rather soft dough
3. spoon small mounds into the hot fat and press flat. Bake on both sides until light brown.
4. serve and sprinkle with sugar. (with granulated sugar or powdered sugar)
